The name Lantana does not actually translate as "an explosion of color" but it should. Las Vegas is the perfect home for this species, as it absolutely loves the summer heat and puts on a flower show that is both abundant and long lasting. Starting in late spring, Lantana blooms usually until almost Christmas. When over wintered plants are cut back, they jump out again in spring and the explosion starts all over again. |
